The Graveyard Book by Neil GaimanI read 34 books this year (that I can recall). So what if 8 of them were Harry Potter and another 8 were manga and comics?  After 2 years of grad school my brain needed a bit of a rest.  As a result, the titles were almost completely young adult, fantasy, and science fiction.  Still, I believe this is in fact the greatest number of books that I’ve read in a non-compulsory manner since before I started upper-level courses in my bachelor’s program. I believe I’ll still make an effort to read more nonfiction in 2009.
