Well, I was very rarely posting at LibrarySpark.com, so I decided to give it up.  It was intended to be a library technology blog and a professional site, but I always felt pressure to be the first or only one to post on a given topic, and I was always worried that the posts weren’t good enough.  I’ve also been using my blogging powers to introduce useful technology tools to people at work through a blog called ThisThingIFound and to (occasionally) participate in a group blog with some of my former classmates called the Gorgas Irregulars.  Meanwhile, I had nowhere to post personal things or other things in which I was interested that allowed for more than 140 characters, so I decided to grab up my own personal web space.

catsThe intention of this site is basically to give me a landing page on the web and somewhere to blog about whatever I’m interested in when the mood strikes me.  I hope that will be more often than on LibrarySpark since the idea is to feel more comfortable blogging about social media and personal announcements here.  So although this is primarily a site for those that know me or are trying to find a way to contact me, I’ll also most likely talk about technology, travel, libraries, Harry Potter and other fantasy literature, college football, social justice, and, erm, my cats (sorry).  Anyway, here goes nothing.
